30-Day Return Policy

Customers have 30 days from the date-of-delivery to return purchases for a refund of the purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee.

  • Auto Retrofit will not refund any incurred removal or installation charges under any circumstances.
  • Any variation of shipping or product damage must be reported to Auto Retrofit within 14 days of being received by the customer.
  • Please allow 5-10 business days for any refund to be processed after received by our returns department for full inspection.

This return policy is null & void if product(s) have been tampered with or altered in any way. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Date of Delivery
Date of delivery will be the date of delivery recorded by the delivery vendor tracked using the corresponding tracking number provided by the third party deliverer.

Condition of Equipment
Returns must be well packaged, in original condition, and with our return merchandise authorization form. Return shipping is to be paid by the customer on all returns. Customers will be responsible for any damage incurred during return shipping. An additional damage will be deducted from the full amount of the refund minus the 15% restocking fee.

Customers located outside the New Zealand will be responsible for all incurred shipping charges and customs duty/tax fees from or to Auto Retrofit.

20% Restocking Fee
Why do we charge a restocking fee?

Each radio must be specifically programmed to fit your vehicle’s configuration. Returned equipment must be re-programmed before it can reshelved.

If the original equipment has been deemed defective by Auto Retrofit, no restocking fee will be assessed.

90-Day Exchange Policy

Customers have an option to return equipment after the initial 30 day refund period, for an exchange for the same unit within 90 days from the date-of-delivery.

Equipment returned within 90 days for exchange must be undamaged and in its original condition. Customers will be responsible for any damage to returned equipment due to return shipping.

1-Year Extended Warranty Terms

Our 1-year extended warranty covers electrical and mechanical breakdown for 1 year from the purchase delivery date.

In the unlikely event your product fails we will provide you with a return shipping label and gladly exchange or repair the product at no additional cost.

  • The 1-year extended warranty does not cover failures from wear and tear, normal maintenance, accidental damage, or any consequential loss.
  • Returns must be well packaged, in original condition, and with our return merchandise authorization form.
  • We will not refund any incurred removal or installation charges under any circumstances.
